Terms & Conditions

  

All Parent/ or guardian must complete a registration form before attending with clear information regarding contact details and any relevant medical history.

  • It is the parent’s responsibility to notify F.L Dance of any changes to their emergency contact details.
  • Parents must disclose any medical conditions or medications their child has or is taking. This includes information on allergies or any existing injuries.
  • Please arrive a few minutes before the class starts and collect your child promptly at the end.
  • Anyone under the age of 18 is not permitted to leave the premises unattended.
  • Parents are welcome to stay with their child until they are settled and comfortable.
  • Students must not leave the premises early unless F.L Dance has received written permission from a parent and the child is being collected by a named adult.
  • If your child is being collected by someone other than yourself, please inform the teacher in writing, stating the class your child is attending.
  • Students are expected to behave respectfully towards all staff, teachers, and fellow pupils.
  • Students must respect the facilities and locations we use.
  • Running or playing inside the venues is not permitted.
  • Students must respect the rights and property of others and follow teacher instructions courteously and obediently.


Dress Code & Conduct:

  • Comfortable clothing is required – sportswear or dancewear only (e.g. leggings, shorts, t-shirts).
  • Appropriate footwear must be worn – jazz shoes, trainers, or pumps.
  • Long hair must be tied back for safety.
  • Mobile phones should be turned off or set to silent unless there is a valid reason.
  • Water is permitted in sealed bottles.
  • No chewing gum or food during lessons.
  • Any food brought from home may only be eaten during designated breaks.
  • Disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. Parents may be contacted and asked to remove the child from the class.
  • All personal belongings are the responsibility of the owner.
  • F.L Dance holds no responsibility for children or young adults using the grounds surrounding the building.
  • All bags, coats, and other personal items must be stored in the coat area, away from fire exits and doors.
  • Parents should recognise that, as with any physical activity, there is a risk of injury. By attending, you release Emmeline Frost (F.L Dance) and its teachers from liability.


NOT ALLOWED

  • Denim clothing, dresses, skirts, or outdoor clothing.
  • Fizzy drinks, sweets, chocolate, or nuts (due to allergies).
  • School shoes, boots, or just socks – proper dance footwear must be worn.
  • Jewellery (except small stud earrings) including bangles and necklaces.
  • Toys or games on the premises – these can distract other children.


DANCE FEES

  • One free trial session is offered per person.
  • Pay-as-you-go: An hourly fee is payable by cash or bank transfer during the first few weeks, giving you time to decide if the classes suit your child.
  • Regular members: Fees are payable monthly (by cash or bank transfer), due at the beginning of each month before class begins.
  • Monthly fees cover four weeks. In months with five weeks, members receive a bonus class. Occasionally, F.L Dance may close for one week during a five-week month; monthly fees remain the same.
  • Dance shows: If your child takes part in our dance show, there will be additional costs for costumes, props, and rehearsals at The Lights Theatre. These costs are kept as low as possible.


MISSED CLASSES / HOLIDAYS

  • No refunds will be given if your child cannot attend class or is away on holiday – full monthly fees still apply.
  • If F.L Dance cancels a class, members will be notified and a replacement session will be arranged. If this is not possible, a full refund will be issued.
  • If you choose to stop attending partway through the month, no refund will be given.
  • Please contact us for the current list of dance fees.


NOTICE

Due to high demand for our classes, if you decide to stop attending, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your space to someone on the waiting list.

Certified: Advanced DBS checked, holds public liability insurance and EML insurance, and is fully trained in safeguarding.
