FL Dance offers various genres in a safe, relaxed setting.
We Lead, Others Follow.
In 1981, Maz Rouse founded the Chilbolton Dance Group, which quickly gained popularity among villagers of all ages. Two professional troupes, Utopia and After Dark, emerged under her leadership. In 2001, FL Dance, was founded as an offshoot of the original Dance School, drawing over 150 members.
After many years of performing at different venues, their annual shows found a permanent home at the Lights Theatre, enjoying immense success. In 2023, Emmeline assumed control, leading FL Dance with passion and dedication.
All classes are structured lessons, teaching dance techniques, and forming dance routines. We break down choreography into manageable sections and use visual aids like demonstrations to help students develop muscle memory. This approach builds confidence, self-esteem, balance, coordination and flexibility, while also enhancing cognitive skills such as memory and focus.
All of our classes have the opportunity to perform in our annual dance showcase at the Lights Theatre, Andover. F.L Dance is fully inclusive.
